Exclamation Computer Questions

Firstly, hello to the guru community. This is my first post heer so I'm siked . Anyhow, I haven't even started playing Guild Wars yet and for a very good reason. I don't have a PC computer . So I'm in the market for one and I have some questions about compatible video cards. I'm wondering if a "Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 with 8MB-128MB dynamically allocated shared graphics memory[/FONT]" will do the trick. I'd also like to know if a "1.60 GHz Intel Celeron M Processor 380, 1 MB L2, 400 MHz FSB" is fast enough. I'd apreciate any advise, so thanks in advance.

welcome drag00n,

I checked the supported video cards and I am not officially stating this but I do not believe that card will run the game and if it did, the experience would most likely be very poor

Additionally a 1.6Ghz Celeron is also not going to provide that great of an experience for most practival purposes. System Ram will also play a decent role in determining the quality of your experience.

I realise that you are probably on a budget, but there are many systems out there that will run the game and not break the bank.

Here are the Specs for the game:

Minimum System Specs:

Windows® XP/2000/ME/98
Intel® Pentium® III 800 MHz or equivalent
256 MB RAM
CD-ROM Drive
2 GB Available HDD Space
ATI™ Radeon® 8500 or NVIDIA® GeForce 3 or 4 MX Series Video Card with 32MB of VRAM
16-bit Sound Card
Internet connection
Keyboard and mouse

Recommended System Specs:

Windows XP/2000/ME/98
Intel Pentium III 1 GHz or equivalent
512 MB RAM
CD-ROM Drive
2 GB Available HDD Space
ATI Radeon 9000 or NVIDIA GeForce 4 Ti Series Video Card with 64MB of VRAM
16-bit Sound Card
Internet connection
Keyboard and mouse

And before you say that 1.6Ghz is faster than 1Ghz or 800Mhz please let me explain. Intel Celeron Chips at the same clock speeds still tend to run much slower than other Normal grade chips at the same speed. If you need further explanation I will try but CPU architecture class is a more appropriate place to learn this content.
